Georgetown Women in Medicine is pleased to announce a call for nominations for two prestigious awards. Details for each award are below. Awards will be presented at the Georgetown Women in Medicine Annual Awards Reception on December 3, 2015 in the early evening.

Estelle Ramey Mentorship Award

Georgetown Women in Medicine (GWIM) requests nominations for the annual Estelle Ramey Mentorship Award. Please nominate a male or female GUSOM/MGUH faculty member who has provided outstanding encouragement, support, and mentorship, and who has promoted and challenged GUSOM/MGUH women faculty to reach their maximum professional potential. 

Eligibility for Ramey Award Nominees: Male or Female faculty member with an appointment at Georgetown University School of Medicine (GOSOM) or MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH).

Eligibility for Ramey Award Nominators: Female faculty member with an appointment at GUSOM or MGUH. View the electronic nomination form. Alternatively, download the nomination form.

The Estelle Ramey Mentorship Award winner will be selected by an electronic voting process after nominations are received.

Karen Gale Outstanding Achievement Award

Georgetown Women in Medicine (GWIM) is also pleased to announce the Karen Gale Outstanding Achievement Award. This award is intended to recognize a GUSOM/GUH female faculty member for her outstanding professional achievements. These achievements may be in research, education, and/or service, with recognition at the national or international level. The nominee will also have made service contributions to the GUSOM community.  

Eligibility for Gale Award Nominees: Female faculty member with an appointment at GUSOM or MGUH.

Eligibility for Gale Award Nominators: Male or Female faculty members with an appointment at GUSOM or MGUH. Download the nomination instruction form.

The Karen Gale Outstanding Achievement Award winner will be selected following the review of nominations by an independent review committee.
